About This Blog

March, 2011

This blog is the successor to my first blog, "From Here to Me," a somewhat disjointed journal written from the perspective of rnelsonbrown, the former part of me which was the erstwhile supervisor in charge during my 20 year or so process of individuation. This blog is written by me, nanci blu, the me that has actualized from this process of individuation.

What I will be interested to see is how my writing and perspective develop as I continue to do this.

Update, Dec 20 - 2011
*The question is: if a person is individuated, are they automatically self actualized? Some would think so. On the other hand, does self actualization necessarily include individuation. I suppose one could be self actualized on different levels - what about an idiot savant perhaps. Or is actualization more about totality, or wholeness.

  • Update Feb 5, 2012 - actualization is the result of individuation, which is a process of analysis and differentiation. Those who have not differentiated, and can not actualize, I call Hubots. Hubots are subject to impulse, and to actions based on subconscious or unconscious motivations. I cite religious zealots who perform heinous deeds in the name of their beliefs for instance, like the man who buried his daughter alive for breaking a religious precept of his, or ideologues, who base their actions on the abstract rather than the real. Hubots, to a certain degree, are more or less insane, for 'they know not what they do.'
